Skill set: Cross Country

A combination of tight twisting and flowing corners on a narrow track designed to test the driver's skill at driving through the bush.

 

Get to the Top - Run by Riverton

Skill set: Incline

A challenge on who can make it to the top. A thrilling fight up the steepest hill available.

 

Obstacle Course - Run by Stirling Lakes

Skill set: Off Road

Ruts, hills, mud puddles more. This track is designed to test the diver's skill in negotiating the obstacles of difficult conditions.

 

Rover Advisor Race - Run by Kalamunda

Skill set: Golden Oldies

Time for the wise old drivers who have had their license a lot longer than we have to have a go. Just wait until you see how much damage is done when they get back to the pits!

 

Night Navigation - Run by Baja Committee

Skill set: Night/Cross Country

Night Navigation is a night event made along tracks with pegs, tape and reflectors used to define the path. Speed is only a minimal factor in this event and you'll get more points for finishing late rather than not at all. Note: All Baja cars must pass a special Night scrutineering check before they can start Night Navigation.

 

Motorkhana - Run by South West

Skill set: Navigation

This event is designed to test the driver on their navigational skills as well as driving and reversing. The driver has to memorise the sequence through witches hats and barrels and get them all right to receive a score!

 

Novelties - Run by Wembley Downs

Skill set: Entertainment

A short course where a series of novelty challenges are to be completed by the driver at different stop points.

 

Reversing Race - Run by Canning

Skill set: Reversing

A special race just so you can prove that gravity is wrong and that you can go quicker in reverse than you can go forward. This event tests the skill of the driver in negotiating a tight, twisting course all in reverse.

 

Powderpuff - Run by Maddington

Skill set: Feminine Power/Precision Driving

Sorry guys, ladies only. This race is especially designed for the girls. This event is held on a tight twisting course designed to test the girls skill in both driving, reversing and negotiating whatever obstacles are put in their way. Note: If you don't have a girl on your team, you are permitted to beg, borrow or steal one from another crew provided they are not already participating in this event).

 

Stop & Go - Run by North Beach

Skill set: Acceleration/Braking

Held on a short straight section of track, this event is designed to test your car's acceleration and then braking. Start, go, stop. Nice and easy!

 

Anaconda - Run by Tuart Hill/Yokine

Skill set: Precision Driving

A really quick slalom weaving through witches hats up and back. There might be a twist involved!

 

Flower Power - Run by Bateman/Winthrop

Skill set: Donuts

Imagine a large heptagon (5 sides) with witches hats at the 5 points and another witches hat in the middle of the heptagon. The driver has to navigate anticlockwise around the middle witches hat, then clockwise around the first outside witches hat, then anticlockwise around the middle witches hat again, the clockwise around then next consequtive outside witches hat and so on and so on until they do the last witches hat. This event is famed for its dust storms.

 

Shotgun - Run by Kwinana

Skill set: Cross Country

Similar to Trail Blazer, this event will be a combination of tight twisting and flowing corners track that is designed to test the driver's skill in driving on a narrow track.

 

Spin Out - Run by Westfield

Skill set: Precision Driving

A short circular course where the driver has to navigate their car through a spiral and back out again without knocking over any witches hats.

 

Night Novelties - Run by Warwick

Skill set: Night/Precision Driving

A short course where, in the dark, a series of novelty challenges are to be completed by the driver at different stop points. Note: All Baja cars must pass a special Night scrutineering check before they can start Night Novelties.
